The FAO Regional Conference is an official forum and the main regional governing body where Member States discuss food and agriculture challenges, set priorities, and ensure regional policy coherence. It guides FAO's work and defines biennial priorities.

The 39th Regional Conference will facilitate high-level technical and political dialogue on progress and challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean regarding hunger and malnutrition. Brazil was chosen to host, demonstrating a strong commitment to these regional efforts.
