LARC39 : Financer la transformation des systèmes agroalimentaires en Amérique latine et Caraïbes
March 11, 2026

Agri-food systems are crucial for economic development, employment, and food security in Latin America and the Caribbean. Yet, funding remains inadequate. Declining development finance, limited public agricultural investment, and unequal capital access severely affect small producers and vulnerable communities.

This session will explore mobilizing more and better financing through innovative instruments, international partnerships, and platforms like FAO's Hand-in-Hand Initiative. The goal is to promote sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agri-food systems.
