Lanzamiento de Plan Caleta en Línea en beneficio de pescadores de zonas aisladas del sur de Chile
April 20, 2026

Sernapesca has launched "Plan Caleta en Línea" in Puerto Cisnes, Aysén, Chile, bringing digital services to over 150 artisanal fishers in isolated communities like Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda, Puerto Gala, and Puerto Gaviota. Funded by the GEF Gobernanza Marino Costera (implemented by FAO), the program provides essential equipment including computers, notebooks, and a portable printer.

Fishers can now access services like artisanal fishing registration and quota inquiries via a new platform supporting video calls. Aysén is the first Chilean region to implement such a program, significantly strengthening marine-coastal governance.
