April 09, 2026

In the Ecuadorian Amazon, the Achuar indigenous community of Kupatas demonstrates how conservation and economic development can coexist. They responsibly utilize forest resources, generating opportunities and improving livelihoods.

As part of Forest and Farm Producer Organizations (OPFA), and with support from FAO's Forest and Farm Facility (FFF), the community strengthens the Amazonian bioeconomy, promotes gender equality, and fosters sustainable livelihoods in indigenous territories.
