Joan Baez returns to the Commonwealth Club World Affairs nearly 45 years after her last visit, not for a performance, but for an intimate discussion. She will delve into her personal thoughts and life experiences, offering a rare glimpse behind her iconic stardom. Her new book of poetry, *When You See My Mother: Ask Her to Dance*, marks the first time Baez has publicly shared her decades of writing. The collection features reflections on her childhood, cherished family memories, and insights into contemporaries like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, presenting an inspiring personal diary.
