In Azerbaijan, the FAO/GEF Lifecycle Management of Pesticides project supports agriculture education transformation. Students' integrated pest management trials prove biological controls cut pesticide use, protecting crops, lowering farmer costs, and enhancing consumer safety.

High productivity is achieved through practices like pruning, leaf removal, and using biological methods such as yellow traps and pheromones. Organic fertilizers are preferred. This model, promoting a safe harvest as the best, is now spreading regionally, fostering sustainable agriculture protecting livelihoods and health.
