In Kenya’s Kerio Valley, farmers are revitalizing degraded land and enhancing their livelihoods through the AFR100 Support Programme, backed by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). This initiative provides financial and technical support to restore ecosystems, improve soil health, and develop sustainable, market-oriented businesses. Their experiences highlight how land restoration can create new opportunities and strengthen community resilience.
