The Women Label initiative empowers rural women by connecting them to inclusive agricultural value chains and market opportunities. In partnership with a leading private sector company, women farmers in Minya received Beauregard sweet potato seedlings and secured an export contract. Using FAO’s Farmer Field School approach, participants learned good agricultural practices, contract farming, negotiation, and record-keeping, enhancing their skills through knowledge exchanges with peers from Kafr El-Sheikh.

This initiative links women to profitable markets and export opportunities, creating jobs, increasing incomes, and strengthening women’s economic empowerment.
