Esteemed futurist Michael Barnard will outline long-term decarbonization scenarios for the global economy. His projections cover key areas like buildings, distributed energy, concrete, steel, renewables, vehicle-to-grid technologies, and hydrogen, all grounded in physics, economics, and human nature.

This presentation occurred at the One Basin One Governance (Water is Sacred) Conference on September 18, 2019, held at the Victoria Inn, Winnipeg.
At COP26, Kumi Naidoo highlighted a critical issue: the delivery of climate finance pledges. He questioned whether wealthy nations would fulfill their commitments to provide billions in funding.
This financial support is essential for South Africa's transition away from coal. The timely and complete delivery of these promised funds remains a key concern for global decarbonization efforts and developing countries.

Sir David King, former chief scientific adviser to the UK government (2013–2017), discussed the governance of Arctic climate-altering technologies with the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative (C2G).
At the 2019 Arctic Circle Assembly on October 10th, Sir David participated in two C2G sessions. There, scientists, policy experts, and civil society representatives explored critical questions concerning the Arctic's future.
