Earth Guardians: 2026 Indigenous Youth Initiative Training
February 10, 2026
Earth Guardians' Indigenous Youth Initiative training ad retreat brings together a group of young leaders from tribal nations across Turtle Island to build skills in Traditional Ecological Knowledge, media for movement-building, and climate justice organizing in a nature-immersed, Native-led setting. Our first training seven years ago was organized by young frontline water protectors after the NoDAPL movement in Standing Rock, and we've held onto that radical grassroots approach. Every year we support participants as they develop campaigns to defend the lands, waters, and people of their home communities, and form deep relationships that weave the next generation of this movement. This year, we have two sessions (June & October) open to Indigenous youth (18-30) living in the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, VA, DC, DE, PA, WV).
