Kristine McDivitt Tompkins, former Patagonia CEO, is a prominent American conservationist. With her late husband, Douglas Tompkins, she is recognized as one of history's most successful national park philanthropists. Her NGO, Tompkins Conservation, recently partnered with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet to create five new national parks and expand three others in Chile, adding over 10 million acres of protected land.

In her talk, Tompkins will share insights into her conservation work in the Southern Cone, her transition from businesswoman, and her call to action: "Paying our rent to Earth." The discussion will be moderated by Kate Brandt.

Participants will identify and reflect on societal assumptions, insights, and blind spots.
