The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event, from May 27-31, 2024, commemorates two decades since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) established a global framework for digital cooperation.

The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event, from May 27-31, 2024, commemorates two decades since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) established a global framework for digital cooperation. WSIS aimed to build inclusive, people-centric information societies.

This milestone event will facilitate multistakeholder discussions to review progress, trends, and future opportunities since the 2003 Geneva Plan of Action. Co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP, and UNCTAD, and co-hosted by ITU and the Swiss Confederation, it will support both in-person and remote participation.

The Giga Technology Centre serves as a hub for developing open-source technology for school connectivity and a vital space for Catalonia's and Spain's tech ecosystem.
