Nicole Crooks and Michael Clarkson shed light on how climate change disproportionately impacts BIPOC communities. They share their first-hand experience of climate gentrification occurring in the historically Black neighborhood of Overtown, Miami, and empower us to take stand for vulnerable communities whose legacies are being erased in the face of climate change. Co-founder of KonsciousKontraktors Ink and CEO of Ti Ayiti Preparedness And Relief Institution (TAPARI) A resident of Overtown and as such, has experienced Miami’s climate justice issues first hand. Because of this, she was inspired to co-found the Black Butterfly Collective - an environmental justice and wellness project that educates and supports Black women in the fight against climate change.
