Addressing global climate issues demands substantial capital investment. While industry has significantly contributed to the Anthropocene, there is hope in redirecting corporate efforts towards climate solutions.

Devyn, a Brown University student, created an "Environment and Enterprise" concentration, studying climate change, the private sector, and consumerism. He heads shareholder engagement for Brown’s Socially Responsible Investment Fund, interns with the Office of Sustainability and Investment Office, and co-authors a book chapter on New England coastal city resilience.

As the global push for a Circular Economy grows, Azby Brown's book "Just Enough" highlights how Edo-period Japan offers a historical prototype. Edo's environmental and design principles closely align with Circular Economy ideals, demonstrating a comfortable, healthy, and beautiful sustainable lifestyle.

Brown, an expert in environmentalism and traditional Japanese sustainable practices, has lived in Japan for over three decades. His internationally recognized writings cover traditional carpentry and compact housing. Since the 2011 Fukushima disaster, he also leads research for Safecast, a global citizen-science organization.

Dr. Peter G. Brown, Professor of Geography at McGill University, discusses key points from his book, "Right Relationship: Building a Whole Earth Economy," co-authored with Geoffrey Garver.

He argues that our current economic system, which assumes endless growth and limitless wealth, ignores Earth's finite resources. This leads to increasing environmental destruction and growing, sometimes lethal, tension between rich and poor, global north and south.

Piecemeal solutions are insufficient. We need a comprehensive new economic vision that serves both people and all of life's commonwealth.
