Harriet Harvey Horn talks about the current climate we are living in today and how despite this climate chaos, we can be creative and come up with new climate possibilities in the future. Harriet Harvey Horn is a Climate Reality Project Leader, one of over 31,000 advocates in 135 countries personally trained by former US Vice President & Nobel Laureate, Al Gore, to present the latest facts on the climate crisis & solutions. Since training in 2018, Harriet has addressed audiences across the country & logged over 250 other Acts of Leadership. She is also co-chair of the Climate Reality San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and is active with the Foundation for Climate Restoration, 350.org and Sierra Club. Prior to committing her energies to the climate, Harriet enjoyed a 35-year high tech career, in engineering, marketing, management & consulting roles. She also held numerous leadership positions on nonprofit boards & volunteer organizations. Harriet holds an MBA from Santa Clara University & BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech, as well as several climate-related certifications. She and her husband live in Los Gatos. They have two sons in their 20’s who fuel Harriet’s passion to restore a healthy, livable habitat on Earth. Mr Bhatt has over twenty five years of teaching and leadership experience, and has been instrumental in the development of internationalised education in China for almost two decades. He was the founding International Principal of the International Curriculum Centre at the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China (Beijing Renda Fuzhong), Nanjing Jinling High School and Suzhou International Academy, Beijing Foreign Studies University. He was also the Academic Principal at the Beijing Luhe International Academy. Currently, he works with the teacher training team at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, designing and delivering training and consultancy programmes to teachers and educational leaders.  His research interests include Educational Leadership, Building Sustainable Schools, Self-seeking, Fear and Creativity. When time permits - and it always permits - he likes to be close to the existence in the form of children and nature, loves reading about existentialism, writes poems and plays badminton. This recording begins with a slideshow of the late Dr. Svetlana Chernikova, professor and environmental leader from St. Petersburg, Russia. An introduction follows by Dr. Robin Marsh of UC Berkeley presenting highlights of Svetlana's life and career. Next, Angelina Davydova, who is an environmental journalist and professor at St. Petersburg State University, and the first Svetlana Chernikova Fellow to attend the Environmental Leadership Program at UC Berkeley, speaks about the new and growing community-based, environmental and political activism in Russia. Dr. Fritjof Capra, Founder of the Center for Ecoliteracy, presents the keynote lecture on Systems Thinking and Sustainability. The lecture presents an evolution of systems thinking in Europe over time, with a focus on the less well-known but crucial contributions of Russian scientists. Dr. Capra then links systems thinking with the concepts of economic and social sustainability. He ends with an examination of the main components for achieving sustainability on our planet. Among these are collaborative leadership and inter-sectoral social networking for which Dr. Svetlana Chernikova was widely known. Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of the Club of Rome and CISL Fellow, shares insights from her latest book, ‘Earth for All: A survival guide for humanity’. Hosted in collaboration with the Club of Rome, Cambridge Centre for Environment Energy and Natural Resource Governance, and the Anglia Ruskin University Global Sustainability Institute. Recorded live at the Entopia building, Cambridge, February 2023. This is a decisive decade for humanity. The next ten years must see the fastest economic transformation in history. Earth4All is an international initiative to accelerate the systems-change we need for an equitable future on a finite planet, building on the legacies of  The Limits to Growth  and the  Planetary Boundaries frameworks.  Earth for All: A Survival Guide for Humanity,  was published in September 2022 and  presents the results of a remarkable two-year research collaboration.
