American democracy often excludes youth, despite public policy significantly impacting their lives. Young people possess powerful, dynamic voices ready to contribute to policymaking. It's time to challenge negative perceptions and redefine inclusivity to ensure youth are fully represented.

Amanda Schuerman, an 18-year-old community activist from Gilbert, Arizona, exemplifies this call for change. She serves as Southwest Regional Director for March For Our Lives and Captain of her Speech and Debate team, planning a career in nonprofit law. Nag Ashwin, an Indian film director and screenwriter, studied cinematography at The New York Film Institute. He began his career as an assistant director for films including ‘Nenu Meeku Telusaa?’, ‘Leader’, and ‘Life is beautiful’. His short film, ‘Yaadon ki Baraat’, was selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner.

He made his directorial debut with ‘Yevade Subramanyam’, a critical and commercial success that earned him the Nandi award for Best Debut Director. He later wrote and directed ‘Mahanati’, a biographical drama about actress Savitri, which garnered critical acclaim and was a box office blockbuster.

A reforming constitutional lawyer and senator, Mary made history as Ireland's President in 1990. She then served as UN High Commissioner, fearlessly challenging human rights abuses worldwide. Today, she chairs The Elders, an independent group founded by Nelson Mandela, dedicated to peace and human rights.
