Kashmala Kakakhel, an expert in international climate finance policy, discusses how climate change will determine tomorrow's winners and losers. With over 14 years of experience, she ensures climate funding meets developing countries' needs and designs projects for international funds.

Since 2016, Kashmala has advised Pakistan's representative to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Board. In 2020, as Lead Co-Chair Advisor for over 130 developing nations, she facilitated the approval of 37 projects totaling US$2.1 billion and led the GCF's Strategic Plan update. Her prior leadership at CDKN also significantly advanced climate finance access and contributed to the UN Warsaw International Mechanism on Loss and Damage. She is also an author and TEDx speaker.
