Today, she chairs The Elders, an independent group founded by Nelson Mandela, dedicated to peace and human rights.

An agripreneur with an INSEAD MBA and experience at Colombia's National Federation of Coffee Growers, Carlos now leads Cacao de Colombia. He works with farmers to enhance cocoa quality, producing Cacao Hunters chocolates for domestic and export markets, with the goal of revolutionizing the industry.

With over forty years serving Indigenous peoples, Merculieff is a passionate advocate for Indigenous rights and a harmonious relationship with Mother Earth. On November 4, 2021, at COP26 in Glasgow, ClimateWise and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) launched "Risk Sharing in the Climate Emergency." The event convened senior representatives from insurance, regulators, and governments to discuss their collective roles in addressing the global climate challenge.

The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and ClimateWise, working with industry and policymakers, presented actionable recommendations. These aim to urgently expand risk sharing and insurance systems, providing a pathway to immediately quantify, manage, and reduce climate risks.

The recommendations also advocate for integrating climate policy and regulation. This ensures finance supports a resilient, net-zero, and just transition for all economies, both emerging and developed.

In the late 1950s Capra read the work of Werner Heisenberg, a founder of quantum mechanics, and quickly intuited connections between the discoveries of quantum physics and the traditions of Eastern philosophy. The result was his bestselling book, The Tao of Physics.
