This session will explore mobilizing more and better financing through innovative instruments, international partnerships, and platforms like FAO's Hand-in-Hand Initiative. The goal is to promote sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agri-food systems.

Green Jobs: Empowering Palestinian Youth

Palestinian youth, especially young women, face alarmingly high unemployment and poverty. Limited job opportunities and a mismatch between education and labor market needs hinder access to decent work, impacting purchasing power and food security.

The FAO, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and funded by Denmark, is tackling this by promoting sustainable "green" jobs in the agrifood sector. The project strengthens youth skills, supports green enterprises, and engages various partners to empower young women and men in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This fosters decent employment, builds resilience, and contributes to a sustainable agrifood system.
