The goal of AI for Good is to identify practical applications of AI to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and scale those solutions for global impact. It’s the leading action-oriented, global & inclusive United Nations platform on AI.

AI for Good is organized by ITU in partnership with 40 UN Sister Agencies and co-convened with Switzerland.  Visit the site here and join the platform if interested.

AI is profoundly reshaping the radio ecosystem, from content creation and translation to spectrum management and crisis communications. In a recent ITU Tech Monthly episode, Thiago Aguiar Soares, Senior Radiocommunication Engineer, explores AI's role across radio production and broadcasting workflows.

The discussion covers AI's support for scripting, editing, real-time translation, spectrum monitoring, and early warning systems. It also highlights content authentication (C2PA) and ITU Study Group 6's AI-related broadcast standards. Thiago emphasizes AI is a tool, not a voice; the human touch remains vital for trust and audience connection.
