Climate Change

About This Collection

What is climate change? A definition from the Department of Ecology of Washington State reads: Climate includes patterns of temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind and seasons. It affects more than just a change in the weather and refers to seasonal changes over a long period of time. These climate patterns play a fundamental role in shaping natural ecosystems, and the human economies and cultures that depend on them.

It may be used inter-changably with global warming as they’re closely related. Global warming causes climates to change. Here is NASA discussion on the two terms, What's In A Name?

We recommend you listen and learn which is the best advice we can give to begin to understand the challenges before us.

LPG Talks with Dr. Rebecca Boudreaux of Oberon Fuels

Boudreaux, President & Chief Executive Officer, talks about how her company, Oberon Fuels.

Oberon Fuels is slashing the environmental impact of fuels used for transportation, industry and heating – especially in large, hard-to-abate sectors such as medium- and heavy-duty transportation and agricultural operations.

We are on a mission to decarbonize the fuel and energy sectors through the commercialization of renewable dimethyl ether. Oberon’s low or carbon-negative rDME  fuel can reduce the carbon intensity of LPG by up to 60 percent when blended, offering potential reductions in global CO  of 750 million metric tons per year. Our rDME  fuel is also a compelling approach for transporting hydrogen for its myriad, fast-growing applications.
