Equal Rights for Women is a major category, like energy or climate change, of sustainability and the voices in this collection are of the present and the past.
If we don't address human rights and social justice of which the sustainability keywords and phrases include children's rights and welfare; human trafficking, slavery, and women's rights and roles, then as David Korten points out, we will not be able to come to terms with the limits of the planet and not even technology will be able to save us.

Global Ambassadors Program Overview by Vital Voices |
Published on Dec 16, 2014 The Global Ambassadors Program, a Vital Voices and Bank of America partnership, engages accomplished professionals, including executives from Bank of America and other leaders from the private and public sectors, to provide mentoring to emerging women leaders from the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network. These mentorships help build critical communication, advocacy and business skills; provide essential connections; strengthen existing networks; and help women leaders create measurable impact in their communities. Following successful programs in 2012 in Haiti, South Africa and India, Vital Voices and Bank of America convened mentoring forums in Singapore, Brazil and Qatar in 2013 to explore the role women's leadership can play in advancing economic opportunity and strengthening civic participation at all levels. 2014 trips include Mexico, Northern Ireland and Poland. |
